Download Evasion 1.5.3 Update to Jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 - Following today’s earlier release of Evasi0n 1.5.2, the evad3rs (the dev team responsible for creating the first and only Untethered iOS 6 jailbreak) updated their evasi0n jailbreak tool to version 1.5.3. It seems that, in addition to bringing localization for German, French and Chinese, evasi0n v1.5.2 also causes the utility to crash on Windows. Evasion 1.5.3 simply corrects the unwarranted and bizarre issue with the previous evasi0n update. Also, like with past versions, evasi0n 1.5.3 includes support for jailbreaking iOS 6.0 through 6.1.2 on all iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models that can upgrade to the latest firmwares.
Also, along the same lines, if you own an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch that was previously jailbroken using an earlier edition of the Evasion jailbreaking tool, it’s possible to apply the latest updates without having to fully restore to iOS 6.1.2 and re-jailbreak. The revisions to evasi0n are available through Cydia as a simple update; to apply them, simply navigate to the “Changes” section and install the latest Evasi0n 6.0 – 6.1.2 Untether 0.4-1 update.

Dear Evasi0n Admin, I have an iPhone4s with firmware 6.1.3 and I am unable to downgrade it to either 6.1.2 or 5.1.1 because it pops up with an unknown iTunes error 3194. I’ve watched every youtube guide, read every help site all claiming to help fix the problem, but non of them have helped so far.
Evasi0n 1.5.3 is not compatible with the iPhone4s.

There was ios 4.1 in my iphone3gs.i have tried to update it through itunes but there is a problem.After installation through itunes,there is problem that it is not activating my iphone and shows a message that your iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable,try connecting your iphone to itunes to activate it,or try again in a couple of minutes.i tried many times but it again shows the same message,

Download 6.1.2 Firmware, shift and update, iTunes unpacks the firmware selected then tries to verify and then error. I’ve tried with older firmware back to 5.0 but it’s still the same. Any help?

what you do is download a 6.1.2 ispw file then you go to itunes and shift click restore it should have a popup that lets you select the file you just downloaded it will unjailbreak your device and avoid updating all the way to 6.1.3 then download evasi0n and run it should work it did for me

Hey Admin, I’m new to the scene, coming from Android. Thanks for all your hard work. Should I update to 6.1.2 before I jailbreak, or should I jailbreak on 6.1, then apply updates? Which is easier/more solid?
First of all, welcome to iOS
As for your question, yes, it’s best to update to the latest public iOS 6.1.2 firmware before jailbreaking using Evasi0n. To do so, simply backup inside iTunes, restore to iOS 6.1.2, jailbreak with evasion 1.5.3 and restore from your iTunes backup. Avoid using Apple’s over-the-air (OTA) update feature, as it may cause issues with the jailbreak. Thanks for reading and good luck!
Thanks so much for the reply. I have one more question if it isn’t too much trouble, as I’m not sure where else to ask. This iPhone in question was briefly on Verizon’s network, but now it is not being used as a phone, for all intents and purposes it is being used as an iPod Touch. When I back it up to iTunes, it is still showing the phone # it had previously. Is there any way to remove this? I’ve been told that if another iPhone user SMSs that phone #, it will still come through as an iMessage. A factory restore maybe?

If you use cracked apps, the Weather app will ALWAYS crash.
