Evasi0n Jailbreak Excepted Release Time for 6.1 UnTethered, Evasion Download - We’re less than a day from the upcoming release of arguably the most anticipated iOS jailbreak utility of all time: evasi0n jailbreak. As confirmed by members of the newly-formed evad3rs dev team, the evasion jailbreaking tool is scheduled to be released tomorrow – Sunday, February 3rd. Of course, evasi0n will be the first UnTethered jailbreak solution for users with all iOS-based devices (excluding the 3rd generation Apple TV) on either iOS 6.1, 6.0.2, 6.0.1 or 6.0. As of late, most of the questions we’ve received at Evasi0n Jailbreak are from eager members of the community inquiring about a specific release time.

Currently, as stated on their official site, the evad3rs are roughly 80 percent of the way finished. The development of Windows, OS X and linux evasi0n jailbreak tools are complete and extended evasi0n testing is underway at the time of writing this article. Additionally, on Thursday, pod2g suggested that the team doesn’t have a precise release time – only that it should be released before or after this year’s Super Bowl.
Although we don’t have an exact time to share with our avid readers at the moment, based on previous Sunday releases for other major jailbreak utilities in years past, it’s likely that evasi0n will be released before 11:59 pm Pacific Time.
Evasi0n Jailbreak Update: Because the evad3rs didn’t release evasi0n at 10:00 am, we’ve updated the chart to display the last possible time evasi0n may be released if the evad3rs wish to meet their Sunday deadline.
Evasion Update x2: It’s been discovered that the completion time for a possible evasion release is hardcoded in the evad3rs’ site. In short, a public release is coming in the near future.
